Ayada Maldives
Villa categories at a glance
Ayada offers seven villa categories. Every category has a private pool and butler service. Below are the exact counts and capacities from the resort’s fact sheet.
- Garden Villa (109): 1 king bed, 110 sqm interior, 40 sqm deck—entry-level but still has a standalone bathtub.
- Beach Villa (201–212): 1 king bed, 125 sqm interior, 100 sqm deck—direct sand access on the widest stretch of beach.
- Beach Family Suite (209): 1 king bed + 1 twin bed in a connected suite, 250 sqm total—ideal for parents with one child.
- Sunset Lagoon Suite (402): 1 king bed, 130 sqm interior, 120 sqm deck—half on sand, half over water, so you get both views.
- Sunset Ocean Suite (601–616): 1 king bed, 180 sqm interior, 150 sqm deck—full overwater with infinity pool and sunset views.
- Sunset Ocean Suite with Pool (612–615): 1 king bed, 180 sqm interior, 150 sqm deck—same as above but with a larger plunge pool.
- Sunset Ocean Family Suite (612): 1 king bed + 1 or 2 extra beds in the living room, 200 sqm total—best for families who want overwater space.
- Royal Residence (701): 2 storeys, 350 sqm interior, 250 sqm deck—master bedroom upstairs with ocean-view bathtub, living room and pool downstairs.
Which villa Fede recommends for different travellers
Honeymooners: Sunset Ocean Suite with Pool. The villa has a separate living room so you can close the door and keep the romance uninterrupted. The deck is long enough for sunrise yoga and sunset cocktails without feeling overlooked.
Families: Sunset Ocean Family Suite. Kids can sleep in the living room while parents keep the bedroom door shut. The pool is shallow at one end, and the butler can set up a movie night on the deck.
Multi-generation groups: Royal Residence. Grandparents get the upstairs master with the ocean-view tub, parents take the downstairs bedroom, and kids camp in the living room. Everyone has privacy, but the deck is big enough for shared breakfasts.
Divers and surfers: Garden Villa. It’s the smallest and least expensive, so you can spend more on dive trips to Beacons or Two Ways. The outdoor shower is well suited to rinsing gear before you step inside.
Villa features you’ll use every day
- Private plunge pool in most villas—some are long enough to swim short laps, others are circular for soaking.
- Standalone bathtub in every category except the Garden Villa (it has a shower-tub combo).
- Outdoor daybed large enough for two adults to nap side by side.
- Minibar restocked daily with local juices, soft drinks, and beer—premium spirits are charged.
- Turkish hammam-style steam shower in the Royal Residence and Sunset Ocean Suites.
- Direct reef access from overwater villas—step off the deck and you’re snorkelling within seconds.
Floor-plan notes from villa visits
The Sunset Ocean Suite with Pool (villa 615) has a U-shaped layout. The bedroom faces the sunset, the living room faces the lagoon, and the pool sits in the middle of the deck. The deck is 150 sqm, so there’s space for a dining table, sun loungers, and a shaded daybed without feeling crowded.
The Royal Residence is the only two-storey villa. The upstairs master has a freestanding bathtub that looks straight out to the ocean—no curtains, just glass. The downstairs living room has a retractable glass wall so you can open the whole space to the deck.
The Beach Family Suite is essentially a Beach Villa connected to a Beach Suite. The connecting door locks from both sides, so parents can keep it open for young kids or close it for privacy.
All-inclusive plans and villa choice
Ayada offers two all-inclusive tiers: Crystal and Diamond. The Diamond plan unlocks all restaurants, premium drinks, one 60-minute spa treatment, and excursions like the sunset dolphin cruise. If you’re booking Diamond, I’d lean toward the Sunset Ocean Suite with Pool or the Royal Residence—the extra space makes it easier to enjoy the inclusions without leaving the villa.
Bicycles are complimentary only with the all-inclusive package. Otherwise, they cost 15 USD per bike per day. If you plan to cycle around the island, the all-inclusive plan pays for itself quickly.
Transfer time and villa location
The resort is a 70-minute domestic flight to Maavarulu followed by a 15–20-minute speedboat ride. The transfer is long, so I only recommend Ayada for stays of five nights or more. Once you arrive, the villas are spread out: Garden Villas are closest to the spa and gym, overwater villas are at the far end of the jetties, and beach villas line the widest stretch of sand. If you want to minimise walking, pick a Garden Villa or a Beach Villa near the main pool.
Kids club and family-friendly details
The kids club accepts children aged 4 to 11. Under-4s are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult. The club has a full schedule of activities—snorkelling lessons, coconut-husk painting, and Maldivian dance classes—so parents can have a few hours to themselves. If you’re travelling with kids, the Sunset Ocean Family Suite or the Beach Family Suite keeps everyone close without feeling cramped.
Which villa is best for honeymooners?
The Sunset Ocean Suite with Pool. It has a separate living room for privacy, a large deck with sunset views, and direct reef access from the pool.
Can we fit three adults in one villa?
Yes. The Sunset Ocean Family Suite and the Beach Family Suite each have a king bed plus one or two extra beds in the living room.
Is the Royal Residence worth the upgrade?
If you’re travelling with family or want a two-storey layout, yes. The upstairs bathtub has an unobstructed ocean view, and the downstairs living room opens completely to the deck.
Do the overwater villas have glass floors?
No. The overwater villas have large glass panels in the bedroom and living room for ocean views, but no glass floors.
Are there villas with two bedrooms?
No. The largest villa is the Royal Residence, which is one bedroom with extra beds in the living room. For two proper bedrooms, you’d need to book two connecting villas.
What’s the difference between the Sunset Ocean Suite and the Sunset Ocean Suite with Pool?
The Sunset Ocean Suite with Pool has a larger plunge pool (long enough for short laps) and a slightly larger deck. Otherwise, the interior space is the same.
Can we request a specific villa number?
Yes. Villa 615 is a Sunset Ocean Suite with Pool at the end of the jetty with the best sunset views. Villa 308 is a Beach Villa on the widest stretch of sand. Message Fede on WhatsApp to check availability.
How accurate are the villa counts and features on this page?
The counts and features come directly from the resort’s fact sheet and recent villa visits. Still, resorts sometimes adjust categories or renovate. For the most up-to-date details, message Fede on WhatsApp at +1 (561) 955-0414.
