What you’re actually booking

The Four Seasons Explorer is a 39-metre yacht with 11 cabins, a spa, a dive centre, and a crew of 20. It sails fixed itineraries between Landaa Giraavaru and Kuda Huraa, stopping at dive sites, sandbanks, and Hanifaru Bay when mantas are in season. Every cabin has a private deck, an outdoor shower, and floor-to-ceiling windows that slide open so you can step straight into the ocean. The yacht also carries kayaks, paddleboards, and a glass-bottom tender for sunset cruises. Think of it as a floating Four Seasons villa that moves while you sleep.

What Fede needs to know to give you a quote

  • Exact travel dates—itineraries repeat weekly, but manta season (May–November) sells out fastest.
  • Number of guests and ages—children under 2 travel free on seaplanes, but the yacht charges 50% for ages 2–12.
  • Cabin preference—Sunrise or Sunset, upper or lower deck. I’ll tell you which has the best afternoon light.
  • Any special requests—birthdays, anniversaries, dietary needs. The chef can prepare a private dinner on the top deck if you ask ahead.
  • Preferred seaplane option—Four Seasons offers three: Triggerfish (1-1 seating, $740 pp one-way), Boxfish (1-2 seating, $480 pp), or standard TMA ($420 pp). I’ll book the one that matches your schedule.

Once I have those details, I’ll send you a single message with the exact itinerary, cabin availability, and total cost—no surprises. The quote includes the yacht rate, seaplane transfers, all meals, and the Preferred Partner perks. You’ll see the upgrade, breakfast, and early check-in listed right there. If the dates work, I’ll hold the cabin for 48 hours while you decide. No deposit, no pressure.

Why message Fede instead of booking online

Online travel sites can show you the rate, but they can’t very likely the cabin you want or add the Four Seasons perks. I’ve been on the Explorer three times—once during manta seasonand I know which cabins get the best afternoon sun, which have the quietest air-con, and which are closest to the spa. I also know the dive team by name, so if you’re hoping to see a specific reef shark or eagle ray, I’ll ask them to plan the route accordingly. That’s the kind of detail you don’t get from a booking engine.

Another thing: seaplane schedules change constantly. If you book through an OTA, you’re stuck with whatever transfer they assign. I monitor the Four Seasons seaplane lounge in Malé daily, so I can adjust your flight if a storm rolls in or if the yacht’s itinerary shifts. I’ll even meet you in the lounge if you’re connecting through Malé on the same day—just let me know your flight number.

How to get your quote

Send me a WhatsApp at +1 (561) 955-0414 with the five details above. I’ll reply within an hour with a custom quote and a link to the yacht’s deck plan so you can pick your cabin. If you’re ready to book, I’ll handle the deposit and send you a confirmation from Four Seasons within 24 hours. If you’re still deciding, I’ll hold the cabin while you check with your travel companions. Either way, you’ll have the same perks as if you’d booked directly—plus a concierge who’s been to the yacht and can answer every question.

One last thing: the Explorer only sails certain weeks, and manta season cabins fill up six months in advance. If you’re dreaming of mantas, message me now—even if your dates aren’t set. I’ll let you know which weeks are still open and which cabins have the best views of the cleaning stations.

What’s the difference between the Sunrise and Sunset cabins?

Both have the same layout—private deck, outdoor shower, floor-to-ceiling windows. The difference is the view: Sunrise cabins face east, so they get morning light and afternoon shade. Sunset cabins face west, so they’re sunny all afternoon and have the best sunset views. I’ll tell you which is available for your dates.

Can I combine the yacht with a stay at Landaa Giraavaru or Kuda Huraa?

Yes. Many clients book 3 nights on the yacht and 4 nights at one of the resorts. I can arrange a free night at Kuda Huraa if you’re arriving late or departing early, and I’ll coordinate the seaplane transfers so you don’t have to wait in Malé.

Is the yacht suitable for kids?

Absolutely. The Explorer has a kids’ club on board, and the crew can set up a pop-up tent on your deck for naps. Children under 6 eat free, and the dive team offers snorkelling lessons for ages 8 and up. Message me if you’re travelling with little ones—I’ll make sure your cabin is near the family-friendly areas.

What’s the food like?

All meals are included, and the chef can accommodate dietary restrictions. Breakfast is à la carte, lunch is a mix of buffet and à la carte, and dinner is multi-course with wine pairings. The menu changes daily based on the itinerary—expect Maldivian curries, fresh tuna, and Italian pasta made with local ingredients.

How do I get from Malé to the yacht?

Four Seasons has its own seaplane lounge in Malé, right on the boardwalk. You’ll be met at arrivals, taken to the lounge for drinks and snacks, and then escorted to your seaplane. The flight to Landaa Giraavaru takes about 35 minutes. I’ll book the transfer that matches your schedule and budget.

What’s the cancellation policy?

The yacht requires a 50% deposit at booking and full payment 60 days before departure. Cancellations made 60+ days out get a full refund; 30–59 days out get a 50% refund; less than 30 days out are non-refundable. I’ll send you the exact terms with your quote.

Can I dive from the yacht?

Yes. The Explorer has a full-service dive centre with nitrox, guided dives, and a photographer on board. The dive team knows the best sites in Baa Atoll, including Hanifaru Bay’s manta cleaning stations. If you’re a diver, let me know—I’ll ask the team to plan the itinerary around your certification level.

A note on accuracy. Travel facts shift — villa counts get added, restaurants reopen under new chefs, transfer schedules change with the seasons. We update this site as often as we can, but the fastest, most reliable way to confirm anything before booking is to message Fede on WhatsApp. He'll tell you what's true today, not what was true last year.
