The house reef at You & Me starts where the beach ends. A short swim from the jetty brings you to a coral wall that drops from three to thirty metres, patrolled by turtles and schools of fusiliers. H₂O Underwater Restaurant: Michelin six metres down

The world’s first underwater restaurant in the Maldives is still the only one where a Michelin-starred chef cooks in front of you. Andrea Berton’s menu changes with the catch, but the signature ‘Coral Symphony’—a delicate plate of lobster, caviar, and edible flowers—has been on the menu since opening. The curved acrylic walls frame a living aquarium: parrotfish nibble coral, batfish glide past, and if you’re lucky, a turtle pauses to watch you eat. Reservations are essential; Worth recommending: the 19:30 sitting for the best light on the reef outside.

Elizabeth Arden Spa: overwater silence

The spa sits on stilts above the lagoon, connected to the main island by a wooden walkway lit by lanterns at dusk. Treatment rooms have glass floors so you can watch fish drift below while the therapist works. The signature ‘Maldivian Escape’ starts with a coconut-and-lime body scrub, followed by a hot-stone massage using basalt stones from the resort’s own beach. There’s also a yoga pavilion on the eastern tip of the island, where classes are held at sunrise and sunset—small groups, so you won’t feel like you’re in a gym class.

The resort’s excursions are designed to feel intimate, not touristy. The sunset dolphin cruise leaves at 17:00 sharp; the boat slows when the pod appears, and the crew serves prosecco while spinner dolphins leap alongside. For something quieter, the ‘Stargazing Picnic’ takes you to a deserted island where the staff set up loungers, blankets, and a telescope.
