The kids’ corner offers familiar favorites—pasta, chicken nuggets, fresh fruit—but the real draw is the live cooking station where the chef makes Maldivian curries and grilled fish. For something more intimate, Fanditha serves Middle Eastern mezze on the beach, and the resort’s ice-cream parlor is open all day. I always recommend the half-board plan; it covers breakfast and dinner, so you can grab lunch at the pool bar or the beach grill without worrying about the bill. The reef is also a hotspot for manta rays between June and October, and the resort organizes manta excursions that are shallow enough for confident young snorkelers.

Who I’d actually send here

Fede guides families with children aged 4–12 who want a mix of adventure and relaxation. The resort is small enough that kids can explore safely, but big enough to offer activities for every age. If your children are under four, the resort has babysitting services, but the kids club starts at age four, so you’ll need to plan more one-on-one time. For families with teenagers, I might suggest a resort with a dedicated teen lounge, but Reethi Faru’s water sports—jet skis, paddleboarding, and wakeboarding—keep older kids engaged. The best fit is a family that wants to snorkel together, eat together, and still have space to unwind without feeling like they’re on top of each other.

The honest bit

The seaplane transfer is 40 minutes, which can be a challenge with toddlers, but the resort provides earplugs and a kids’ activity pack to keep them occupied. The Wi-Fi is reliable but not blazing fast—enough for a quick WhatsApp message, but don’t plan on streaming movies. The resort is all-inclusive, but premium drinks and some excursions cost extra. And while the house reef is stunning, it’s not a deep drop-off like you’d find in Ari Atoll, so serious divers might want to book a day trip to a nearby thila. None of these are dealbreakers, but they’re worth knowing so you can pack snacks, download offline games, and set expectations.

Fede would book the two-bedroom beach villa with pool for a family of four. It’s the most requested configuration, and the extra space means parents can have a separate area to relax while the kids play in their room or the pool. If you’re traveling with teenagers, the interconnecting water villas are a good option—they give everyone privacy but keep the family close. I always add the half-board meal plan; it’s flexible enough to let you explore other restaurants without feeling locked in.
