The honest bit

Cocoon's lagoon has significant seagrass coverage in front of many villa categories, which changes the water colour from the shimmering Maldivian-blue you see in most marketing photos. Biologically the seagrass is excellent (it supports turtles, juvenile fish, and seasonal mantas), but it isn't what most first-time Maldives travellers expect. Snorkelling here is limited and most marine life requires a boat trip. Hardware quality is solid for the price band, and the Italian design language is the property's clearest differentiator from the more conventional Lhaviyani competitors.
