Lhaviyani Atoll is one of the Maldives’ quieter corners. The house reef starts a few strokes from the beach and drops into channels where turtles nap on coral heads. Inside the lagoon the water is so clear you can count the parrotfish from your villa deck.

The resort keeps around 90 villas—exact count varies with renovations—so it never feels crowded. Dining beneath the waves

5.8 Undersea Restaurant is the only reason some guests book Hurawalhi. The restaurant sits 5.8 metres below sea level, wrapped in curved acrylic panels that make you feel like you’re inside a giant fishbowl. The menu changes daily but always includes Maldivian yellowfin tuna, lobster, and a chocolate dessert that arrives with dry ice so it looks like it’s steaming underwater.

Above water, three more restaurants cover everything from Japanese teppanyaki to poolside burgers. The all-inclusive package includes all meals and premium drinks, so you can order a Ruinart rosé at midnight without checking the price.

What to tell Fede when you message

Transfers made simple

Most guests fly into Malé International Airport and take a 40-minute seaplane to Hurawalhi. The resort arranges the transfer; you just walk from arrivals to the seaplane terminal. If you’re already in the Maldives—say, coming from Kudadoo or another Lhaviyani property—you can hop on the resort’s private speedboat instead. The ride takes about 10 minutes and gives you a quick tour of the atoll’s turquoise channels.
